Panna Cotta Recipe

This recipe is most definitely my guilty pleasure.  The heavy whipping cream makes the recipe dreamingly creamy and rich!

Panna Cotta Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup of raw milk
  • 1 T of Great Lakes non-hydrolyzed (orange container) gelatin
  • 2 1/2 cups of raw heavy whipping cream or organic heavy whipping cream (check ingredients carefully!)
  • 1/2 cup plain white sugar
  • 1 T of vanilla
  • Garnish: Fresh berries or chocolate drizzle
  • A variation for the holidays: is to use substitute 1 Cup Eggnog and then only use 1 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
Instructions
  1. In a small bowl pour 1/2 cup of raw milk.
  2. Add 1 T of Great Lakes non-hydrolyzed (orange container) gelatin and let set for 10 minutes
  3. In a saucepan stir together: 2 1/2 cups of raw heavy whipping cream or organic heavy whipping cream (check ingredients carefully!) with 1/2 cup plain white sugar.
  4. Bring to full boil, watch carefully.
  5. When mixture comes to boil add milk and gelatin mixture. Stir until completely dissolved.
  6. Cook for one minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, stir in 1 T of vanilla. Pour in ramekins or and 8 x 8 glass dish greased lightly with coconut oil.
  7. Let stand until room temperature, then refrigerate.
  8. Be creative with garnish: berries, drizzle with chocolate.
