This recipe is most definitely my guilty pleasure. The heavy whipping cream makes the recipe dreamingly creamy and rich!
- 1/2 cup of raw milk
- 1 T of Great Lakes non-hydrolyzed (orange container) gelatin
- 2 1/2 cups of raw heavy whipping cream or organic heavy whipping cream (check ingredients carefully!)
- 1/2 cup plain white sugar
- 1 T of vanilla
- Garnish: Fresh berries or chocolate drizzle
- A variation for the holidays: is to use substitute 1 Cup Eggnog and then only use 1 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
- In a small bowl pour 1/2 cup of raw milk.
- Add 1 T of Great Lakes non-hydrolyzed (orange container) gelatin and let set for 10 minutes
- In a saucepan stir together: 2 1/2 cups of raw heavy whipping cream or organic heavy whipping cream (check ingredients carefully!) with 1/2 cup plain white sugar.
- Bring to full boil, watch carefully.
- When mixture comes to boil add milk and gelatin mixture. Stir until completely dissolved.
- Cook for one minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, stir in 1 T of vanilla. Pour in ramekins or and 8 x 8 glass dish greased lightly with coconut oil.
- Let stand until room temperature, then refrigerate.
- Be creative with garnish: berries, drizzle with chocolate.
